Phase 1:
Contracting

- Identify Problem/Opportunity
- At Bryant & Associates, we begin our consulting process by spending
time with the client to understand their problem or opportunity. In
short, we listen - we listen carefully, trying to understand the full
nature of the problem or opportunity and the client's solution requirements
so that we can develop and propose the right solution for the client's
unique situation. A key aspect of this process is determining
where the client is in their solution development process and how that
relates to the Bryant & Associates D4 Methodology. An understanding
of this helps us develop a proposal that clearly meets the needs of
the client.
- Client Feedback &
Approval - The client will receive
a written document that expresses our understanding of the problem/opportunity.
The client should review the document and make any corrections
necessary. This process continues until we have a shared understanding
of the client's problem/opportunity and we've developed an approved
Problem Statement. This document is the basis for planning the
engagement and contract negotiation.
- Evaluate Technical Feasibility
- While the client is reviewing the Problem
Statement, our technical team will be evaluating the tentative problem/opportunity
to understand how we can use existing or new technology to solve this
problem.
- Develop Proposal
- Once we have a thorough understanding of the problem/opportunity
and the technical issues involved in providing a solution, we will develop
a Professional Services Proposal.
- Negotiation Process
- All things are negotiable. We will strive to develop
a win-win agreement in which we are fairly compensated for the work
we provide and the client is satisfied with the product and services
to be received.
- Contracting Process
- The contracting process is designed to produce
a contract that protects the individual rights of each party and sets
clear expectations of performance. The contract is the culmination of
a communications process in which we have developed a shared understanding
of the client's problem/opportunity and Bryant & Associates' proposed
solution.
